After last week’s WWDC, much attention went to the announcement of iOS 7. Wether it’s good attention or bad (mostly bad), this little beauty of a video slipped by barely unnoticed. The video tells the principles Apple tries to life by and it’s quite inspiring. What do we want people to feel?
The standard of mobile photography is here. Yesterday VSCO launched a major update for their VSCO Cam app. With their first version they set the bar really high, but now they pushed it even further. Innovative, beautiful and superior are the first three words that come to mind when using the app. With an even better editing function the app becomes an even better tool for iPhone photographers. More filters, efficient editing, a better way to organize your photos and a store for more presets are things you’re gonna find in this new update. And the best of all? The app is free on the App store.

It’s been 7 years since we last seen a proper album from Daft Punk (not counting TRON). But after months of rumours we finally got a date for their new upcoming album, Random Access Memories. One thing they surely did great was creating an hype around the album by teasing us little bits. Fans even created complete songs out of 15 seconds snippets! But to make the wait more bearable Daft Punk finally officially released their first single, Get Lucky. With Pharrell on vocals and Nile Rodgers on guitar it has awesomeness all over. Random Access Memories will be out on May 21.
So TNGHT just dropped a new track to blow up the road to Coachella. This super duo consisting of Lunice and Hudson Mohawke dropped one of the best EPs of 2012 and is certainly not thinking about stopping. I saw them both live last month (unfortunately not as TNGHT) and they both gave a killer show. If you get the chance to see them live, then go!
YouTube Contest
YouTube just announced that it will close down submissions to it’s video site. What started as a contest eight years ago will finally end at midnight. After that, YouTube will take it’s time to review every video uploaded and announce the winner in 2023. Over 30,000 people are working day and night to narrow down all the video submissions over the last eight years. Where after that, the judges will spend the next decade discussing about the best video posted to YouTube. The price you ask? A brand new MP3 player and $500 creative stipend for their next creative project.
I’m sad to see the contest ending, but it makes me really excited to see who has won!

The Blueprint - Justice
Life+Times is a youtube channel by Jay Z where he covers things like art, sports, music, fashion and culture. In this very special video they cover a behind the scenes look at the stage of the French electro duo Justice. They’re famous for having one of the most ambitious compelling stage performances. I’ve seen them live in February last year and they’re absolutely killer!
The video features Gaspard Auge and Xavier De Rosnay, as well as lighting designer Vincent Lerisson and sound engineer Malik Malki in Chicago as they talk about creating a live set like this.
In other news, May 3rd will be the day we will see another live album, Acces All Arenas!

To This Day Project is a project based on a spoken word poem written by Shane Koyczan called “To This Day”, to further explore the profound and lasting impact that bullying can have on an individual.
